Born in Burkina Faso (BFA), graduated from the Institut National de Formation Artistique et Culturelle (INAFAC) and performed as a dancer at the festival “Dialogue de corps” (BFA). In 2007 he took part in the “Exerce 2007” programme of the CCN de Montpellier. For 5 years Ahmed Soura danced and assisted Irène Tassembédo. In 2011 he won the 3rd Prize Dance at the International Dance-Theatre Festival Stuttgart, 2013 at Need2Danceden the 2nd Price and with Christoph Winkler the FAUST-Prize 2014 (Best Choreography). Ahmed Soura has danced for the Opera Ballet at the Deutsche Oper Berlin, as a solist at the Philharmonie Berlin (MESSIAH), in productions of Louise Wagner, Pink Mama Theater, Anna Melnikova, Magda Korsinsky, Konstantin Tsakalidis, Frederic WakeWalker, Christoph Schlingensief, Christoph Winkler, Faso Danse Theatre and Serge Aimé Coulibaly. He has led dance workshops in Italy (Accademia Nationale di Danza, Rome), Burkina Faso (Ecole de Danse Irène Tassembedo and Atelier Theatre Burkinabé), Togo (Adokpo Lomé), France (Maison de la danse de Paris, CND Montpellier, Festival de Marseilles), Switzerland (New Dance Accademy, Pilipili Tanz Festival), Germany (Studio Motion Berlin, Papillon Tanzstudios am Ostkreuz ) and Brazil (ESCOLA DE DANCA DA FUNCEB).
