Kuyum arts works on a number of both community and creative projects. Below is a list of our ongoing projects.

Chuma Chuma Dance Workshop

With Tadhi Alawi

Chuma Chuma is a dance practice that combines different dance styles with movements inspired by Tanzanian dance traditions. The class focuses on helping participants explore movements that come from their own personal identity rather than simply copying choreography.

Kuyum Tanzplattform

KUYUM TANZPLATTFORM is a dance festival dedicated to exhibiting and promoting neo-African choreographies and Artists of African descent from Germany and abroad, as well as artists of non-African descent who incorporate neo-African dance practices into their work.

Important Information:

  • Please arrive no more than 15 minutes before the start on both days (April 24 & 25, 2026) at the entrance
  • We will meet you there and guide you to the workshop room

Please bring:

  • A water bottle
  • Light, comfortable clothing

On site:

  • Restrooms on every floor
  • No changing rooms or showers
  • You can change in the studio or in the restroom
  • No elevator

  • April 24, 2026: 6:00–8:00 PM
  • April 25, 2026: 2:00–4:00 PM
