Bawélima Dessa Ganda (25.07.1985 in Lomé) is a multivalent artist : comedian, storyteller, dancer, musician and poet from Togo. He started with theater in 2002 through few Companies, takes part in several performing arts workshops. He participated to a number of Festivals in Togo, Benin, Mali, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, DR Congo, France, Belgium, Germany, Switzerland and Austria and french Guyana.
Dessa GANDA writes Stories, Novels, Poems and Lyrics. His Stories Book entitled ” la Fleur fantôme (The Ghost Flower) ” was published in 2016. In July 2019, Dessa obtained his BA in Dance, Context and Choreography at the Hochschulübergreifendes Zentrum für Tanz (HZT) of the Universität der Künste (UdK Berlin). He works with Lee Meir, Boris Nikitin, Julia Kratz, Khadidiatou Bangoura, Thomas Plischke and Kattrin Deufert. Since 2020, Dessa lives and works in Cologne. In his own projects he mainly deals with socio-political topics. ResisTanzen was created in June 2022 and is his second solo danse Piece. From the begining of this year Dessa is preparing an another solo dance around heritages entitled : Erb-beben.
