The world is in a state of upheaval; inequalities and conflicts are on the rise. Is the world on the brink of collapse, has balance as we know it been lost? The play invites the audience to search for the concept of balance both within themselves and from a more global perspective.
How does balance develop? How does a moving body keep its balance, and when does it lose it? What happens when a second, completely different body is added? How do the two bodies find a common balance? And how is this helped, or even hindered, by an additional object that creates further imbalances?
„Equi Libre“ is the result of a collaboration between three artists from the fields of dance and visual arts: Ikhyeon Park (Korea / France), Sanga Ouattara (Ivory Coast) and Yahi Nestor Gahé (Germany / Ivory Coast), who take an interdisciplinary approach to the theme.
