The dance solo CA$HBABY explores historical and contemporary issues of black female identity and its relationship to money.

By constantly shifting perspectives between historical narratives and perceptions of the self, the stage becomes a space of the unconscious where projections of realities, dreams and desires of the past, present and future come and go. From labour and objectification to strategic communities, knowledge and healing, the piece uses fantasy and play to deconstruct the meta-narrative and generational memories around black women’s bodies and money.
