Cintia Rangel was born in 1982 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. She studied History of Art and Dance. In her explorations of movement, she focuses on the risk of being contaminated by the space-temporal body of everyday life and on how movement can become an aesthetic-political act.
2015 Moves to Munich and collaborates on various projects, including “Movimento III,Espumas pós tsuname” by Mario Lopes, “MIMIMI Space” by Ricardo de Paula and “Break & Connection” by Grupo Oito. 2022 Presentation of her work “Labyrinth” at HAU2, Berlin, for the first time as an official member of the collective Grupo Oito, of which she is still a member. As performer and costume designer in the production “Flip Flop” by Nasheeka Nedsreal and Theater o. N., which received the Ikarus Award for the best children’s show in 2023. Also in 2023, production of the children’s play “Baoba”, which premiered at the KIFIT Children’s Theatre Festival in Lagos, Nigeria.
