Luana Naquin a.k.a Luana Madikera is a self-taught dancer specialized in modern Afro dance styles (Afro House, Azonto, Naija Street styles, Coupé Décalé, Jazzé) and a multidisciplinary artist (dance, poetry, song and performance) since 2018. Her dance style is versatile as she has foundations in contemporary dance, jazz, freestyle hip hop, pole dance and traditional caribbean dances. She works with words and images when she dances and experiments. She is recognized for her unique expressiveness, energy, footwork and the emotions she transmits through movements and words. Luana is a member of the tropical bass band, La By’Le, with whom she performs regularly and has an afrodiasporic collective; FemBlack. She danced and choreographed for Alexis Blake, Mab Cardoso, Raquel Rosildete, FemBlack performance Collective, Maria del Rosario, Chocolate Remix Tour, One Vibe… Luana Madikera collaborated on several dance videos and shows. She participated in contemporary performances such Crack Nerves Boogies Swerve, Game Over, Patterns, Projektionen, Space and Time Improvisation.
