David was born in 1998 in Rhinebeck/ USA. After graduating from high school and a year of FSJ, he was drawn to the Schaubude Berlin in September 2017 to train as an event technician. There he worked with the team around Jens Angermann and Werner Wallner on the technical implementation of the figure and object theatre. An annual highlight was the setting up of productions for the international festival “Theater der Dinge”. Since October 2020, he has been supporting the Compagnie Bodecker & Neander with his knowledge of sound and lighting technology and in May 2021 they celebrated the premiere of the piece “Meine Güte”.
Since then he has worked as technical director and lightdesigner in many productions of the Freie Szene in Berlin, e.g. Rimini Protokoll, Kuyum Kollaborativ, Raum 305 and FEELINGS.
