Jean-Christine Bartolome (she/her; Germany-Philippines) is a dancer and dance instructor specializing in Swing dances like Lindy Hop and Authentic Jazz Dance. As a guest of this African-American culture, it is important to her that we continuously educate ourselves and share the joy of, and beyond, Lindy Hop; a dance that evolved from a time of oppression endured by enslaved African-American people.
Since 2015, Jean has been an active part of Berlin’s swing dance community, organizing events and workshops. With experience at international dance and music festivals, she brings a keen eye for talent and a strong sense for what makes events work. Her dedication and organizational skills have helped shape and grow the local swing dance scene and bring people from different dance communities together, help them learn from each other, and create more opportunities for dancers and musicians to connect.
