´Ngithanda ukudansa emanzini / I like to dance in water´ is Duduzile´s engagement with the topic of empowerment of black bodies in spaces that have been historically denied. It is a new artistic interpretation on her experiences as a black female surfer, she dances her experiences moving through a racist and male-dominated world. She redefines herself through dancing in water and moves in real-imaginary and afro-futuristic spaces. It is a new solo work that will have its premiere in summer 2021 at the Kuyum Dance Festival in Berlin.
