Since 2006 he has been working as a dance teacher for contemporary and African dance. He has already taught in Togo, Senegal, South Korea and Europe. In the last years he has led and realized many projects in Hamburg.
At the beginning of the workshop there are special warm-up exercises, then the movement sequences of the dances are explained in detail to the workshop participants. Through short stories, the historical background and its meaning is also brought closer.
The goal is to rehearse a small choreography that the participants can take home with them.
Issiaka Moussa’s workshops are like a journey through Africa. He uses the elements of African dance and their dance techniques to make the history of Africa tangible and alive.
