Yahi Nestor Gahe, born in Ivory Coast in 1979, is a dancer, performer, choreographer and lecturer. He received his four years of stage dance training at the State School of Drama and Dance in Abidjan Ivory Coast. He studied art and cultural project design at the University of Strasbourg and completed training in dance pedagogy at the Akademie Off-Theater nrw in Düsseldorf. Since 2009 Nestor lives and works in Germany and is also internationally active as a choreographer, dancer and dance educator. Dancingly Yahi Nestor Gahe is rooted in African, as well as in Modern and Contemporary Dance. In his work he deals with themes of our time and wanders between elements from different dance styles and theater. In his pieces he seeks his own dance language for motifs from the stream of questions in our society. In addition to working with professional artists, Nestor is also active in the field of amateur and youth theater.
